Minnesota technology executive Michael Arulfo has announced his departure from Boston Scientific, where he served as Principal Enterprise Architect within the company’s AI Accelerator Center of Excellence. Arulfo shared that October marked his final month with the global medical device leader, capping a two-year tenure focused on enterprise AI strategy, generative AI adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
Arulfo has joined Cadre, a Minnesota-based startup focused on social wellness and belonging in the workplace, as the company’s new Chief Technology and AI Officer (CAIO). In this role, he will lead the development of AI-powered platforms, data science, and enterprise architecture to help scale Cadre’s offerings for employers and partners.
With more than 25 years of experience in technology and enterprise architecture, Arulfo has held roles at Mayo Clinic, OptumHealth, 3M Medical, Express Scripts (now Evernorth), and UnitedHealthcare. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for BETA, the Twin Cities startup accelerator behind Twin Cities Startup Week, one of the largest tech festivals in the U.S.
Arulfo said his focus at Cadre will include “secure, compliant, enterprise-ready architecture; trustworthy AI that personalizes at scale; and analytics that prove impact.”
