Next in the North is a new nonprofit newsroom covering Minnesota startups, founders, and the people building the state's tech economy. We're hiring students and recent grads to report, publish, and build the organization with us.
We're early. Your work ships fast, your name goes on it, and you get to see a media organization built from the ground up. You'll meet founders, investors, and operators across the state and leave with a portfolio you can point to.
Social Media Manager
Paid contract · Flexible schedule
Build our social presence from zero. You'll turn our reporting into posts, threads, and short video for LinkedIn, X, and TikTok, set the voice for each channel, and figure out what makes Minnesota's startup scene travel online. Paid per content package, with performance bonuses tied to audience and channel growth.
You're a good fit if you already think in hooks and formats, can edit short video, and want to own a brand from day one.
