Minneapolis-based Vertical Insure announced on August 4, 2026, that it secured new financing led by Updata Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based technology-focused equity firm. The Minnesota startup said the investment will support go-to-market efforts and expansion into new markets and industry verticals. The financing amount was not disclosed in the announcement.
Vertical Insure develops embedded insurance technology that allows vertical SaaS companies to offer white-label insurance products within checkout, registration and other software workflows. The company said it now works with more than 100 software platforms across industries including sports, travel, events, construction and education, with partners including Blackbaud, LeagueApps and Togetherwork.
The investment gives Vertical Insure additional capital to expand its software infrastructure as embedded financial services become a larger part of SaaS platforms. Updata Partners reports more than $3 billion in committed capital and focuses on B2B software and software-driven businesses.
