Minneapolis-based Yardstik has raised a $30 million Series B led by Harbert Growth Partners, bringing the workforce technology company’s total capital raised to $65 million. Existing investors Great North Ventures, Rally Ventures, MissionOG, Crosslink Capital, and Grotech Ventures also participated in the round.

Yardstik is expanding the traditional background-check model beyond the point of hire. Its platform combines screening with identity verification, fraud prevention, credential management and continuous workforce monitoring. The new capital will help accelerate those capabilities, including monitoring for changes in driving records, exclusions and expired licenses, insurance or certifications.

The funding comes alongside significant operating momentum. Yardstik reported 149% year-over-year revenue growth, 98% account retention and a 99.4% customer satisfaction rating. The company has also reached eight figures in annual revenue while growing to roughly 65 employees and approaching profitability.

But the bigger story is how Yardstik got here and what it is building toward. Great North Ventures recently published a deeper look at the company’s evolution from background screening into a broader layer of workforce trust infrastructure, including CEO Andrew Johnson’s approach to product-market fit, capital-efficient growth and expanding beyond one-time screening.
